These men are not war hungry. They are fighting Communism that was oppressing and torturing South Koreans. What would you say to all of the South Koreans who were saved by these brave men? That they did not deserve to live? These men have been standing between you and Communists and Islamists who want to come and slit your throat. The horse would have been treated worse in Mongolia. Sure, we'd all like to not have war, but being nice doesn't make Commies & Islamists stop wanting to kill you.

Thank you for your thoughtful and compassionate comment. I share your sentiments. It's staggering when we realize how much horses have done for humans and the countless numbers involved in all wars like this. Heartbreaking and now we are slaughtering them for dog food as well as human consumption for Europe and Asia. So thankful I'm vegan not adding to this horrific and unnecessary nightmare.
