The mathematics that the brain apparently uses for memory are the same as those used in creating a hologram, says Michael Talbot in this interview recorded shortly before his untimely death. This and other scientific evidence suggests that the mind/brain--and perhaps the entire universe--are a kind of hologram. Based on the theories of David Bohm combined with the brain research of Karl Pribram, this revolutionary model of reality sheds new light on such phenomena as psychic powers, poltergeists, hypnosis and faith healing, and opens up exciting new possibilities of human thought and potential practical applications.
Talbot is the author of Mysticism and the New Physics (Bantam 1981), Beyond the Quantum (Macmillan 1986) and The Holographic Universe (HarperCollins 1991).

    Sacred Power Within.

"The world is changing because of this transformation of consciousness through the digital network,"

“The time has come”, and “the revolution has begun”.

And now, with the passage of time and the willingness to learn we stand in the light of our expanded awareness to see that the Earth does not require a Revolution on the part of humanity, but, rather, she is lovingly urging our Evolution

  • @skepticalinquier Good point.

  • @skepticalinquier That's actually a very fair and astute observation. My argument would be that his "paranormal" experience is hardly unique, or really even necessary for his thesis in the first place; merely what motivated it. I don't even think he mentions his own experiences in The Holographic Universe, if he does it's only briefly. Sharp observation though. Cheers.

  • read this book. its the only book you will need

  • If Michael died from a brain tumor, how can we know, the lesion wasn't present for a very long time, giving rise to his experiences? Just playing the Skeptic here.

  • There is no spoon :)

  • @happyslug - he couldn't defeat the negative onslaught - he is not wrong - we need to realize that there is a power against this. I believe he was murdered like terence mckenna and bob marley.

  • 'Researchers or business executives are wrong when they think they can see reality objectively. The truth is that the brain can only see what it is programmed to see, what the brain has been conditioned to see.

Most generally 0.9% normal saline (salt water) is given because it is more or less neutral.

  • It's sad to hear Michael speak of the potentialities of healing that we've barely tapped into; to know he passed on so young. This guy was so smart, so open and seemed like a kind and gentle soul. I would imagine he applied all he learned through his researches for his books towards his own healing. I'm sure he moved a mountain or two. Perhaps his greater self wanted him to leave this dimension; maybe he'd done enough here. Great book. I was reading it tonight. Bless you Michael
