@lynniemac3 Bob McCracken and Red Allen were great in this band which I saw in Portsmouth UK in 1959. The drummer spoiled everything with the same beat on every number.

@lynniemac3 Kid Ory's "Blues For Jimmy" was a tribute to Jimmy Noone, who, I think, was his clarinetist. I don't know when Noone died. Did your grandfather replace Jimmy Noone?

I feel like I am the only 20-something that loves Dixieland jazz, haha. But everyone who is a jazz lover cannot deny loving Basin Street Blues. =D
