There's a of loose talk regarding the word "sovereignty," when what they really mean is RESERVED POWERS.
The ONLY way that states can be sovereign, is if they're SEPARATE NATIONS-- since otherwise, they have NO superme recourse against the federal government -- which thus becomes the NATIONAL government... and the final and exclusive JUDGE of its own powers by default.
What's wrong with you people that you can't see this fact, which is as as obvious as a brick wall.. that you keep hitting?

Each state is a sovereign nation unto itself, by law. Until this is established in current history, however, it wil continue to be ruled as a coercive empire.

There was NEVER a "civil war" in America, since that takes place within a single sovereign nation- not between two or more.
Such questions are not settled by brute force, but only by historical FACT-- and a simple perusal of the facts, PROVES that each state is a sovereign nation unto itself.
Until the people of each state assert their sovereignty as the supreme rulers of their respective state, then the USA will REMAIN a dictatorial empire.

Under the current regime, the states are subordinate to the federal government-- i.e. once the fed speaks, it's FINAL.
There is no such thing as a "balance of power;" either the states are sovereign, or they are not. The current history claims that this was settled in a "civil war;" but that token, ANY nation could conquer another, and call it a "civil war" in retroactive history.
No, the fact is that that every state is a SOVEREIGN NATION under its people, and they need to ASSERT this!

That bible you fine folks read was actually a story that was copied from 2,000 years before jesus even existed. I think it's simply greedy human beings who have a lust for power that has eluded them and their ancestors for hundreds of years. It was nothing more than the age old nationalist vs federalist (confederation) ideological dispute. The winning side wanted a completely different type of Government one identical to the structure of the British Empire. Neither side was good. There is no good side in any war. Any time man resorts to it he is committing evil. All men are naturally free.

@kungfu2u2 That is what the states are. The United States as the name implies is supposed to be a confederation of states who voice like interests in Washington DC. What it has become is something entirely different. Read the Virgina and Kentucky Resolutions. Any state can nullify a federal law when it's people decide. The returning of fugitive slaves was outlawed nullifying the federal governments act by many northern states. The founders would not have left the states intact if we are all one
