"traditional"...do you mean pre-industrial? Also if people had a better diet could that help depression?

I hear you! It's ridiculous. Best to ignore it, let people do what the have to do... Eventually it'll stop. Believe in potential. Until then, I'll be shopping :P

It's called "monetization" and it is essentially the thesis of capitalism. So long as maximization of profits is the goal it will continue. It's value of having greater efficiency in the company's use resources by obtaining greater profits from the same use. eg. One page with typical web traffic that redirects a greater number of people to profitable links.
Unfortunately, this has the effect of decreasing our efficiency by distracting us and eating up our time, focus, money, etc.

Wow..and I forgot about the ads right on the video just as I went to fullscreen. I think we need to start a campaign and boycott YouTube and let them know we will not stand for this and the reason for it. I find some of these videos informative and helpful but I mean come on. They will try to place ads anywhere they can. I will disclose a little bit about myself and say I have AD/HD and my attention can be diverted and too much info is not good for my functioning, but come on.

Ugh..why must humans try to make money anywhere they possibly can? They have to take something with potential and fuck it up everytime. I guess it's full screen for any video now. I mean..is anyone else annoyed by all of these ads? I notice the same thing with Facebook and I hardly bother with it anymore..info overload. I understand partly the business model behind sites like this but are there any ways to avoid the ads without fullscreen?

Most natural health people tend to overrate how much of these nutrients people need. For instance, the 1:1 ratio between omega 3 and 6 EFA's is not usually found in any natural diet, even though many alternative health people say that it is. There is almost no evidence that the original humans required these really high doses. The anti-inflammatory effects of omega 3's seem to be vastly overrated.
Nice video. Mind if i post this one in my channel?

That would be great - thanks for helping me again get a broader audience - along with the many other important topics you cover. I'll be in touch.

another great video. What are some of the things you eat? What's in your fridge and cupboard?

I was considering doing a video on that, but I think diet may be fairly individual in many cases. The starting point IMO is clearly minimally processed traditional foods (something almost no one accomplishes to begin with). But after that, it probably takes some experimenting to see what works best and is most convenient for you as an individual.
