I want you to know that I am a 9th grade teacher and of course "Romeo and Juliet" is part of my curriculum. I try to do Shakespeare in a way that makes it alive and understandable to my students. One of the most effective things I've found is using youtube clips in class that show the interior of the Globe in London, that show mini-clips of dance numbers and curtain calls. Anything to help them "get" what a live performance of Shakespeare was/is like vs. how it is typically taught in school.

I guess that is a long-winded way of saying that your clip is one I show (okay, honestly... more toward the ends and kinda as a "and now for something a little strange and different"). Surprisingly, none of them knew 2nd Life (but maybe they didn't want to admit it). Still, when I explained how much work and effort ppl put into buildling the Globe in a game like that, they were a bit perplexed... but, I know it makes a real world connection that helped them learn. It's just plain cool, too^^
