A collection of some burning guitar solos from roots rock reggae songs. I've picked some pretty unknown swedish bands in this video who got great guitarists, especially on "I Know" with Rootvälta, also positive vibration on "Flow" with Skaburbian Collective, you can find the entire song here on youtube.

Took some time to make this one so I hope you enjoy it! As you see I barely made it below 11 minutes which is time limit.

I got more Bob Marley & the Wailers stuff coming out soon btw.

Tracklist
(intro - Black Uhuru - Mondays, Live Los Angeles 1982)
1. Johnny B. Goode - Peter Tosh with Word, Sound & Power (solo by Donald Kinsey)
2. Them Belly Full - The Wailers Band (with Aston "Familyman" Barret)
3. Searching For Gold - Rootvälta
4. Flow - Skaburbian Collective
5. Jamming - Monyaka Live in Boston
6. Forward - Rootvälta
7. Chase Dem - Stephen Marley
8. Never Gonna Give It Up - Peter Tosh with Word, Sound & Power Live at the Roxy 1983 (solo by Donald Kinsey)
9. The Heathen - Bob Marley & the Wailers Live at the Stanley Theatre (his final concert - guitar solo by Junior Marvin)
10. Africa Unite - Ziggy Marley Live in Atlanda (BMW cover)
11. Spear Burning Dub - Burning Spear Live in Santa Cruz 1980
12. No Woman No Cry - Live in Boston 1978, late show (solo by Al Anderson)
13. I Know - Rootvälta

Enjoy.

  • Really great video! thanks so much for taking the time to put this together... people totally underrate guitar solos over reggae tracks, they can be so powerful! BTW i like how you called it a "complication" of songs in your description... too funny! thanks again! cheers.

  • Nice video, "reggaelinx website" has the best collection of reggae videos if you are into reggae music.

  • I was at that wailers show at the fox. It was legendary, like all their shows

  • Tremendous- loved it to bits. Thanks for posting
