It's warm for December, but it's still December, not the ideal time of year to be skirmishing with your 1911 variant GBB pistols. As you'll see in this video however, with these extended magazines from Tokyo Marui, you can keep on plugging away quite consistently, even when the sun isn't shining.

  • would this magazine work with my we 1911? also is the magazine single or double stacked?

  • @Raiokai Incompatible far as I know. Obviously being for a 1911 it's the width of a RS single stack, but the actual BBs are double stacked.

  • Thanks for posting this. Loved the slow-motion portions, you've got some steady shooting skills :)

  • @maad416 Well.. I've got a tri-pod, heh. Unless you meant the actual pistol shooting? I'm not all that steady if I'm honest my technique when I was filming this was pretty rusty, but I've not been skirmishing or practicing my drills for a long time now (much longer than I'd like), and the skill fade sets in. Probably have to talk about that side of things in a video some day.

  • An interesting video, it's the first time I've seen the TM extended mags in use. As for the trigger not resetting I had a similar problem with my TM MEU if it persists it may be worth sending it of to be looked at, if it's the same problem as mine it's just a quick fix but that's just something to look out for, nice vid anyway mate :)

  • @LukeMiller94 Been fiddling with the pistol since I did the video, took it to bits, did a bit of cleaning and adjusting some of the springs, seems to be sorted now. Glad you liked the video anyway, may have to do another one with the same pistol now that it's working.

  • what gbb are you using ???

  • @CKinnerley yep, I meant the pistol shooting. If you do decide to do a pistol techniques video I'd definitely appreciate it.. Cheers!

  • Great video as always Chris.

I had a similar problem with my MEU, which turned out to be an issue with the trigger disconnector (silver nub that sticks out of the frame on the right near the hammer when the slide is off. If it gets worn, or dirty, the disconnector won't move properly when the hammer drops.

  • @TheJaaysog Sorry but first Pistol he used is TM 1911 MEU (standard) and I have same problem with this pistol when I bought Mechanix gloves that were slightly too large, trigger would not reset properly!, becuase gloves were too large.!

2nd pistol used was customised by Elite Shooting Centre and seemed to work flawlessly. ;)
