Filmed at the 'World of Cougars' exhibit at Cougar Mountain Zoo in Issaquah, WA. This is an awesome exhibit - I could sit and watch these incredible cats all day.

  • made me yawn

  • LOL - Yeah, ok, so it's not the most "exciting" video (the choice of music probably doesn't help, either) - But check out my "Mutegi Jumps.." video. That's a bit more "action packed". :)

  • One day my step-mom was home alone (NW Montana) working on a painting, she had this strange feeling that she was being watched. After a while she looked out the window behind her. There was an adult Mtn Lion with its face 2" from the glass, watching her. If not for the glass, she could have been the lion's next meal. She blinked, looked at her painting, looked back and it was gone. They are amazing, silent hunters. Thank you for the video.

  • I'd love to see a cougar in the wild - I know that we do have them in many places in WA state. Of course, the cat would most likely see me long before I saw him, which might not turn out so well. Wild cougars typically won't hunt human beings, but that's something I'd rather not test personally. It would be incredible to be able to photograph one in its natural habitat, though.

  • We'll miss you so much Nashi, you wonderful cat ! RIP

  • what a beautiful creATURE

  • This cat is frustrated... every inch of ground had been covered, in the wild they roam 100's of Kilometers. When you go to a zoo you hear stupid lame humans trying to cat call with them with whistles(like dogs) and such. That's a good way of making them more frustrated. No zoo's, all animals should be free, not so sure about some humans. And don't say it's educational, it's voyeurism at it's human worst.

  • "I could sit and watch these incredible cats all day."

...Which is just about all I do at the NC Zoo.

  • cougars are solitary in nature so putting another one in with it probably wouldnt make too much of a difference...thats what daily enrichment is for. And actually this exhibit is better than some at the larger well known zoos. Just a thought.

  • I was hunting deer in Colville, WA this year, and my brother spooked up a huge tom, he had to have been 7 feet long and upwards of 170lbs, he went hauling ass down the hill away from him and towards me and my step dad. He covered 200 yards of ground in about 6-7 seconds, and was ghostly silent the whole time. I had just walked passed his position before my brother spooked him. It's kinda creepy knowing he was watching me the whole time before he took off, he coulda had me before I could fire.

  • sad to see a cougar in a cage like this, they should put another one w/ it. at least they survive longer in captivity(which is some up lifting comfort).
