Actually I like King Crimson. I just find the attitudes of Prog musicians very elitist. And no, not all music is valid. Most of it is shit. There's good simple music, good complex music, bad simple music, and bad complex music. And who the hell is the judge of what is simple and complex anyway? I think Kurt's lyrics are complex.

And his guitar work may not be complex, but that's because they were 90% influenced by punk (more specifically the Sex pistols)

I agree. One of the best writers ever. He knew how to write amazing words. And he always evolved and got better. Most of his guitar work isn't complex but it is great. He's playing had subtleties and was unique. Everything he did was completely original and a descendant of his influences all at the same time. It's a difficult thing to analyze. All i know is Nirvana is one of the most beloved and revered bands of all time, and most likely one of the most misunderstood. Most parents hate them. lol

Very stupid comment, why bother writing it? Krist is the man runt. A touch sloppy, great sense of dynamics, well written parts. You couldn't write bass lines like this if your life depended on it. Fuck off prog rock

gotta love novoselic, when u listen to nirvana songs u dont think he's doing much, but he plays a lot of subtle brilliant changes,...totally underrated...perfect for nirvana.
