The White Temple - Wat Rong Khun

An eclectic buddhist temple near Chiang Rai that is the creation of Chalermchai Kositpipat, Thailand's Gaudi. It is just part of a complex of buildings the artist designed that he estimates will take 90 years to complete.

- Chalermchai is one of my favorite artists. He breaks down barriers with this monumental unconventional Buddhist temple. If Buddha was alive today, this would be one of his favorites.

Incredible. We (a group of 16) will be going to Laos and Thailand this summer, and we'll be trekking to Chiang Rai, so I'm going to put this forward as somewhere to go.

Just went to Chiang Rai and saw this fantastic temple. Particularly amazed by the mural in the main temple depicting Hell.

Just visited this wonderful temple last week. Its a beautiful footage. I will definitely be visiting again in a year's time.
