its a good idea, the only problem is that the two trains share the same tracks aside from Carleton station so what would they do? split the stations into two tracks?
The city of Ottawa is stuck in bus-land. Staff and their consultants run the city and have vested interests in maintaining bus infrastructure. Meanwhile taxpayers and commuters get the shaft.
So they plan to build a huge Park and Ride at Leitrim Road next year and run more polluting buses along residential Albion Road and jammed the Airport Parkway while this rail line and tracks remain unused. Yet they could put rail service in within 4 months. What is wrong with the planners in this City? Why are wasting money on buses when one O-Train uses as little diesel as ONE articulated bus and carries THREE times the people are greater speed and comfort?
