I wouldn't say it's "better than Tom Petty's." It's enough to say it's a strong, version with it's own unique honey drizzled flavor. Tom Petty's and Johnny Cash's versions deserve their legendary status, and cannot be topped. One can only endeavor to match their performance of said song.
