WWDC 2010 Overview P1: Safari 5 (Demo)

*HELLO* - So this is Part 1 of a few videos in which I give you my views and opinions on WWDC 201, The World Wide Developers Conference held by Apple in the Moscowne Centre. In this video I give you a demo and talk about my views and opinions on Safari 5 which boasts some new impressive features both noticeable to the user and not. Things that basic users will be using are things like Extensions & Safari Reader as well as enhancements to the address bar. Things that are under the hood are things like speed improvements & more HTML5 integration. The next few videos will focus more so on the iPhone 4 and iOS4.

i have safari 5 and sometimes the reader wont show me even when i hate to cult of mac like you did my reader did not show dam it :(

@LUXURY713 lol..ye the reader function is not as consistent as i thought it would be, bit annoying but hopefully that will change with time !

I never get the reader button... and generally I actually think safari 4 was faster, but I like how they brought the loading bar back.

One problem I do have is on the BBC website, the videos they have slow down safari 5 to a crawl, make it really awful to use

If you only find the "Reader" button and the "RSS"-button is gone. Just press and hol on the "Reader" button and a drop-menu will show with two alternatives "Show with Reader" or "View RSS"

Their are a surprising number of issue that have me wondering if enough time was spent on developing safari 5.

This is off topic, but damn! Take a look at your menu bar.. How can you live like that? Looks like some nasty windows machine or some nerds linuxdistro..

I'm glad the loading bar is back. i.e. the colour loading bar shows over the url bar so you know how long your page is going to take to load.
