  • ladies, i'm 19 and am about to have my first. i'm very excited but at the same time scared to death because i was in the delivery room when my sister had her first daughter. i almost fainted just watching. all the crying and the screaming...it was awful. can someone give me an idea of what childbirth is kinda like. i'm absolutely terrified

  • @roboasscheese123 I was 19 when I had my daughter. Every labor and delivery is different because very person and their body is different so I cannot tell you what its like until you experience it. I can say that it is very painful but its also one of the most amazing experiences a woman will ever go through. You will be fine! Goodluck!

  • I was 19 when I had my first Annalia, I didnt prepare myself at all for it and when it came down to it it was scary as hell , like roboasscheese123 says, you cant really describe it till you experience it .. but I will say EPIDURAL ROCKS :)

  • for incision, so I did not feel anything during pushing. Post-delivery healing is another story. :) I heard, second delivery is usually easier, I heard, so I hope I'll be able next time to do without any medication at all - my grandma and mother (I believe) had their second babies drug-free. Nurses still said I had a "natural birth", though I disagree. :)

So you'll be fine! Good luck and don't worry! It's really not a big deal for us women. :)

  • so I even could get some sleep between the contractions! I did not get a chance to get another shot because my pushing stage was approaching. I never screamed or cried or moaned because I knew it would not help. I was chattering feverishly - that's what I remember doing.:) Pushing was fairly easy and took my only 20 minutes! Somehow, before the labor I naively thought that the most painful part is pushing, not labor. It turned out completely opposite.:) They gave me local anesthesia

  • It's bearable. I wanted to have completely drug-free birth, for the sake of the baby]s health and also to test myself. Well, I almost managed it. My labor lasted 16.5 hours, and the first 11 or 12 hours I stayed without medications. But then I felt like I could not take it anymore, so I asked for a shot (I would never go for an epidural, I was strongly against it for many reasons). They gave me an IV once. Unfortunately, the meds did not reduce pain, but they just helped me to relax.

  • I was 16 years old and its not that bad its worth it as soon as u hold ur baby

  • @roboasscheese123 My mum always says that it is really painful but when the baby comes its totally worth it :)

  • @roboasscheese123 I've got just under 4 weeks to go till my third is due. Am really looking forward to labour without pain relief again. My first (completely natural from start to finish) was scary cos I didn't know what to expect and was quite taken aback by the intensity of the pain and how the baby moved inside me, but I didn't scream, my second was induced and natural from that point on and was easier cos I knew what to expect. I honestly am looking forward to this one. I have short labours.

  • @sooouuuuper thank you:)
