Keng, i totally agree. Something that is even worse is when schools cut other funding that goes to help special needs children. A friend of mine has a younger brother who is severely autistic and his mom had to pull him out of school because the school wasn't even trying to help him at all. they were basically just passing him up so they didn't have to deal with him, and even fired the only teacher they had employed to help kids like him.

Josh, you are correct. Look at the disproportionate of the school budget towards the student that needs help to the top students in our country. When Science Fairs do not get the justice that they deserve anymore. Where thousands of people root in the stands for a football game instead of people rooting for amazing discoveries. We all know about Albert Einstein... can an average joe name a famous scientist over the last decade? I surely can't!

like when i was in high school we had a robotics club that promoted Math and Science and intellectual creativity. You may have even heard of the programs FRC and FIRST. But the school administration did everything they could year after year to make it harder to continue the program by cutting out funding down to basically nothing in favor of the sports programs that were a joke in our small town. its just ridiculous that people cant see the benefit of a academic program over sports these days.
