@TrueGamer512 Ah yes the colors on my aunt's crt are fine. I have a tv of my moms that has no schematics and idk what parts are what because there is no writing on them. My mom's tv won't power up. Forgot to mention I also found the HOT for the tv too. Little project when I get the money. =)

@TrueGamer512 Ya. Everyone in my family have upgraded as well but some of us figure why get rid of something that has been doing a great job so far? I currently have 1 of my moms tube tv's made in 2006 that won't power up. Checked it out and it seems the flyback went on it. There is a little wire thing with like metal around it that sits right next to the flyback that has that high heat rainbow discoloration. So I have found the flyback but still have to get some money to purchase.
SUCCESS! Great job! I love messing around my cr-70. Only if we had these things back in the 90's instead of now eh? We're kinda late. =P

@RejectedManiac Nah it's just on time. Sure these would have been nice back in the day but you don't really need it unless your fixing a bunch of them or are trying to save old monitors. Normally people just had a TV and when it went bad they replaced it but with arcades you don't upgrade to new LCD's and you also can't just buy new arcade monitors anymore or parts cause they don't make them and its's expensive. So it's just fine and also needed to keep them going. It still does a great too.

@TrueGamer512 Ya one of these days I wanna get my hands on a cr-7000. Those things look freaking sweet and still are covered by sencore if it needs fixed or recalibrated. I thought I was gonna be able to use my cr-70 on my aunts huge tv tube cause the colors were funky. turns out she had all the settings messed up. Put it back to default and looks great. I may hook it up for the heck of it to see what the emission looks like and do a life test.

@RejectedManiac Just for fun I would have tested and rejuved old tv's for friends and family but they have already replaced their CRT's with new HDTV's. I also would like to get a Sencore CR7000 but it's really expensive and I don't think I need it right now. The one I have seems to work just fine. I just think the CR7000 is easier to read and use and it also has adapters for every single CRT made because they don't make new ones and so once you get the CR7000 you have everything for them all.

@TrueGamer512 I don't know what that other thing is that is discolored to replace that because I can't find any schematics on the specific tv model anywhere and it has no writing at all on it! So if I change out the flyback and it don't work idk what else it is. Hooked it up the the cr-70 and RGB all have great emission right around 10.7 so I know it's not the tube. I may make a video if I succeed. Cool vids. We need more cr-70 vids on youtube!

@RejectedManiac Well as far as I know if you replace the old capacitors with new ones it may help the color. I've never done a cap kit. I'm working on getting my soldering skills up and I already have some really nice solder equipment. Replacing capacitors on a monitor chassis is the only thing I really haven't started to master yet. So if you have already done a rejuvenation, a degauss, and adjustments and it still doesn't have good color I suppose it could have bad capacitors maybe.
