The Grammys barely dedicate any time to MENTION the Jazz category anymore, let alone dedicate this kind of time to showcasing its power. This year (2011-2012), to learn who the major jazz winners were, I had to go to the Academy's site online. Thank you so much for sharing this incredible performance!

Yeah, it's a damn shame, once again, fleeting fad based music and the might dollar rules the day, but because the greatest Jazz thanks the Marsalis has been brought to the forefront by Wynton, it should continue to thrive. You'll never get the huge numbers for classical music and the timeless jazz music, but it is an art form that isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Beiber, Timberlake who will be listening to them in 100yrs time. Wynton, Duke, Armstrong, Mozart,not going anywhere.
