  • It was unfortunate that the new gov. of alabama said that . However, I dont automatically think hes going to discriminate against non-christians-based on his other comments. Only time can tell. That said, people feel stronger bonds with the like-minded. Its just a fact of life.--wouldnt you agree?

  • @ScrapGoldBass I don't think he would either; the problem is that this feeds into the narrative that the USA is a Christian country.

  • ...perish as fools indeed.

It just bothers me how desperately people need to tout the religious label "Christian" , as if there's no other way to be accepted into society as an equal - what kind of society is that ?!

Great video Landon , as always !

  • @gaglamesh731 Indeed, and thankyou.

  • Still not as big a slap in the face to MLK's memory as the Beck rally

  • MLK was definitely for accepting other religious beliefs. He graciously allowed Muslims and non-believers join his movement in solidarity.

  • "War does not determine who is right - only who is left."

God bless America and no place else ...says gun slinging republican.

  • @AmericanWayne Sure, but it was a statement with political implications and profoundly negative consequences for people who aren't Christian or religious. Imagine, for instance, if he'd said that he didn't consider African-Americans to be his brothers, but he would still be governor of everyone in Alabama; understandably, people would be worried.

  • @DLandonCole I hope not, too, but he was talking to Christians from an non-official meeting. He already stated that he is the governor of everybody in Alabama no matter what their religion might be. Christians always call each other brothers and sisters in Christ and I'm not sure how common of knowledge that is since I am a Christian.

  • I also like this quote from Bertrand Russell "The only thing that will redeem mankind is co-operation."

  • @AmericanWayne I don't think you understand the political implications of his statement. You might have heard something about a wall of separation between church and state. I hope that the Governor will not act in a manner that conforms to this spiritual belief; that is to say, preferring Christians over non-Christians.

  • @AmericanWayne Just because Christians place spiritual value in using discriminatory language, that doesn't justify the use of discriminatory language...

  • I don't think you understand the spiritual implications of his statement. Christians are part of the family of God. I just made a video about this.
