george washington was a slave owner.

And ? So are and were many africans. Slavery was part of the history of many nations, and it took many generations to shrug that off. Did you know that the abolition of slavery was in the original draft of the declaration of independence ? Many were born into the culture of slave ownership, and they knew that it would take a long time to put that evil away. Washington was one of them, and worked to that end. Plz edukate urself.
