If you know Mercedes and Leon you might be interested in Luis Alberto Spinetta, he has composed some of the greatest argentine songs.

what the heck you got some leon gieco on your site? how did you hear about him? i heard about him when i served an LDS mission in Argentina, early 80s. and Charly Garcia, and Sui Generis, and Roque Narvaja, and Seru Giran. man they had some cool music come out of those days (slightly earlier than those days, I guess).

I have known of Mercedes Sosa for some time -- she also perfoms the song "Solo le pido a Dios" and it was through her that I heard of Gieco. Really excellent music!
