VGDVBL was produced by Rashida Khawaja and Nadeem Mandliwala. Both these producers wanted to make a stylish film. They definately succeeded in making a stylish film. Rashid Khwaja is big name in Pakistani media and after this film went on to produce "Salakhain" also.

Coming back to this film it was directed by famous director S.Suleman who made a came back with this film. Some of the scenes were shot by Shaan after S.Suleman became ill.The film had Shaan, Fakhr-e-Alam (film debut), Neeli, Resham, Nargis, Qavi Khan, Latif Kapadia and Arshad Mahmood.

VGDVBL was a remake of the Hollywood flick "Trading Places". The script was written by Ali Sufiqan Afaqi. VGDVBL was a enjoyable film. The film revolved around the two seth's Qavi Khan and Latif Kapadia. The reversal of roles for Shaan and Fakhr-e-Alam after the bet between the two seths.

The film had a number of firsts. The first Pakistani film to be shot in Mauritus, a chorus song was specially shot in India. Indian choreographers were used for the first time.

The film had great performances by Fakhr-e- Alam, Shaan. Qavi Khan and Lateef Kapadia.

Brilliant music by Nizar Bazmi. Nizar Bazmi was also making a comeback to the film world with this film.Lyrics by Masroor Anwar. Every song was a gem. Madam Noor Jehan's daughter Zille Huma's first film as playback singer.

Overall a great musical comedy film. I wish that the producers could have stuck to the original script that they had as the climax was to have been shot in Sharjah during a cricket where both seth's were supposed to have put a bet on a cricket match. That would have been some ending instead the film had the typical ending.

The film was a hit at the box office.
Unfortunately the film's orginal print has never been released on DVD/Video.

This song is picturised on Neeli and Shaan. The singers are Waris Baig and Shazia Manzoor.
