This video still puts a smile on my face. A 20k cobalt that beats a 90k viper. I have the SS and it gets 36-40 mpg on the highway and seats 5 to boot! Love this car....

LMAO. The cobalts is and amazing car. it dosent surprise me it kept up in the corners its front wheel drive he can push it alittle harder. but if it was me in the viper id a kicked the ass end out alittle.

tell me more about holding it in for 10 sec??? i know about trackion once off 2xs race mode and 3 never herd of it. i just bought my 09 ss tc sedan so im sure i need some schooling

i own the same car 09 ss t/c summit white, they only made 41 in white and i got mine with all options, people over look the sedans not knowing that can perform like they do, definately a sleeper

The Cobalt have 3 options. Normal , when you start the car , Electronic Stability Control on and Traction Control on.
Competition Mode, tap the button twice, Electronic Stability Control on, Traction Control off and Launch Control on.
RACE, hold the button down for 10 - 15 sec, Everything off but ABS and only you are in control.

...That is one great way to have safe fun... I am impressed with how "tossable" and forgiving the Cobalt is... I do wonder if it is open diff or LSD?... also wonder how well does that VBox Performance Box works for you?... Cheers!

It's got the LSD.
The VBox works great, I just wish the readout was a bit bigger...

I own both a GTS Viper and a Sky Redline which has the same engine as this Cobalt. I'm also a DE instructor. The turbo 2.0 Cobalt is an INCREDIBLE car, but this video is nothing but proof the Viper driver is slow and the Cobalt driver is good. I'm faster by several seconds per lap in my GTS Viper than in my Sky Redline.
