Capital City Speedway - Truck Fire

September 12, 2009 - Capital City Speedway - Monster Jam IV - Trailer Races - The truck catches on fire, and the cab gets engulfed in flames. The driver bails out of the moving truck and is alright but has minor burns and a piece of glove melted to his arm, however the fire suit did its job and gave him enough time to escape the vehicle.

I was there too, I was thinkin i didnt come out to see someone die, I'm glad to hear youre alright. It was pretty epic from where i was sitting, turn one pit bleachers, right on man.

That was me in that truck, was a heck of a finish.. This is the first time I see it from this angle showing how much flame there was.. I lost the brakes with the flame some how, so was real slow stopping.. heating up fast, had to bail out window. Luckily only small burn on wrist and neck, very minor considering! Nice footage :)

yea, from where we were, we could see him struggling to get his harness off and get the truck stopped. Looked like something out of a hollywood film.
