just got me an orion in cinnamon fade with an 8 and 10 rack tom,15 floor and a 20x14 kick.

@spinadude haha thats the bad part, since i'm in college now i actually haven't gotten to play them yet!!!! i've been back at school since early january and just bought the kit like two weeks ago and it's sitting at my house just waiting for me to get home in three weeks !!!! i'm so anxious and excited to get home and set em up and play em... and yes i definitely will do a comprehensive demo for you and all others interested in this kit

@spinadude yeah i will, i have all my recording equipment set up on my gretsch catalina ash but when i set up my orion i'll demo the drums with just the camera audio, then with just the overhead condensors, then with all the mics, then with all the mics and EQ... that way everyone can hear what they sound like at all stages..... and i'll hit all the drums individually, not just a "snare/bass/high-hat demo" haha ... hopefully it'll be up in around three weeks cuz i'm at college now

@21Rushisaband12 Any chance you'll be posting a video of you playing the kit? Very curious about the Orions and their sound but there are very few videos of them. And none at all on the Mapex web site.

Just bought a 7 piece Orion, with a gibralter rack, a high-hand stand, and a throne... for 1800 ... that's almost theft

To much compression.. now we have listen to it with compression and it's about time to hear the kit sounding natural.
