Her name is Emily Bindiger and is an American singer based in New York, very well known in music industry!

Chikayo Fukuda composed for the original .hack//Games and .hack//GU games. Even so, I think those games have some pretty great music.
The gothic/neo-classical/electro unit ALI PROJECT did the soundtrack for .hack//ROOTS I've been a fan of ALI PROJECT for 5 years so of course I love this soundtrack too!
.hack//Legend of the Twilight's soundtrack was composed by Yuji Yoshino, though Yuki, through See-Saw, contributed the ending theme, Emerald Green.

Yuki didn't compose for the original games, nor .hack//GU, nor .hack//ROOTS. Just SIGN and LIMINALITY. But I agree with you, the LIMINALITY soundtrack is far under appreciated!

why "lol .hack song"? the .hack series is probably the best example of her work. I personally think the .hack//liminality soundtrack is under-appreciated. .hack//sign and .hack//roots also have really good music. The first game series has some of her music, but its kind of bland. She has some really good songs in .hack//GU series. Granted, not everyone has time to play the games, myself included.
.hack//Twilight was ... interesting but nonetheless good.
