Rasta people have never made claim to originating dreadlocks, the early dreadlocks Rasta freely talk about the fact that they were inspired by the mau mau of Kenya, Rasta was not influenced by Indian sadu's, so no need for uneducated comments

@MrDutchieB First black people who had locks wernt rastas. Rasta is only a few hundred years old. When do you think Marcus Garvey was born? Second locks grow naturally on everyone if they dont comb their hair. Even ancient white peoples like norse, celtics and vikings had locks. While we on the subject look up the history of the word ganja...its literally an indian word thats from "Ganges", referring to the Ganges River, which is a river in India where Cannabis Indica grew naturally.

@MrDutchieB Only the hair is similar between rastafaris and sadhus...and a hairstyle like that is something we all can have. And cannabis grows in many places of the world, and originate in many different places. The oldest use of cannabis that has been found today is in China, so if I was as stupid as you seem to be, I could say that africans stole the idea of ganja from the chinese

Couldn't agree more. That there are many origins out there. It certainly didn't start in the 60's in Jamaica is all I can say for sure. We are all Africans if you trace the DNA far back enough!
