This is the best cover of this song on youtube. Guitar and piano covers combined, this is better than all of them.
Wish to god you'd post how you played it though.

an mp3 of this would be sick

It's sounds like and old time-y slow Irish pub song that morphs into a pink panther spy creeper but nice job! Hard to do!

This would sound great with Green's drums.

this is amazing, do you have sheet music, or just play from ear?

@sierrasmithh played from ear, sadly. now I wish I could remember it!

Still trying to learn this song every day as well as this...
Do you use augmented, diminished, or extended chords here often? I know every note inside and out, but even the way you play the melody on the bass in the first ten seconds has a technique to it that I just cannot figure out..
Do you play it all in a strict key of G or do you modify it with harmonics and such?

@fireseed23 it's a combination of arpeggios, 1-3-5s, and solid chords. nothing augmented or diminished until the bluesier parts, then i think there's one or two diminished chords. and yes, it's all strictly in the key of E minor / G major.

Without a doubt many people here would be in debt if you could share all but a few chord structures or anything for this performance...I can play this song from start to finish without improv, but can't even begin at anything like this..share your life changing knowledge..?

@fireseed23 first part is Em, D, C. then drift a little bit with the melody. when you feel like it, move the descending line all the way down to B (Em -> D -> C -> B). Occasionally, I think I experimented with an Em -> G -> C -> B line that I thought sounded cool, if a little diff than the original MM song. Really, the core of it though is the tension along the Em, D, and C.
