"Goce Fest - Pesna za Goce"
Folk Music Festival from 1993 in the Republic of Macedonia, to honour the most important ethnic Macedonian revolutionary Goce Delcev (born 1872 in Kukus, Aegean Macedonia, today in Northern Greece and was killed on May 4th, 1903 in the village of Banica, Ser/Serrai) who fought for a free and independant Macedonian Republic:
"Macedonia has its own interests and its own politics which belong to the Macedonians. The one who works for joining of Macedonia to Bulgaria, Greece, or Serbia, can consider himself as a good Bulgarian, Greek, or Serb, but not as a good Macedonian" (Goce Delchev)
