A Special Blend: "When We All Get to Heaven"

This is the song, "When We All Get to Heaven" as performed by A Special Blend. The group formed in the early 80s and put an excellent record together, entitled "Nowhere But Up." I grew up listening to their music and I wish they could have come out with more stuff, but... se la vive...

I know a lot of folks were looking for this album and I have the whole thing on CD. This is the first installment--I'll be sure to upload the rest eventually.

@blaqrhayne You have to search for Mervyn Warren on FB and plead with him to put it out. I think that this should at least be available for release on iTunes. He holds the masters...

What a reunion. An indication of what heavenly music will be like around the throne. Kudos to the group. Haven't missed a beat after 25 years. Great performance after years of seperation.

This is a beautiful arrangement of the classic hymn but the original version of this arrangement was done by "Edwin Hawkins and the Hebrew Boys", an album that was done in the 1970s shortly after "O Happy Day". Both albums (LP) by Edwin Hawkins and A Special Blend are currently out of print. A version of the song by Edwin Hawkin appeared later in the 1980s on one of his Music and Art Seminar Choir LP. No where to go but up.
