@Primorsky What? Be proud. Russia pwned that Georgian spy plane and it had every right to. The reason why they didn't waste a long range missle on it is because short range IR missiles are cheaper, so why not? :D

A WVR attack allows confirmation of the target. Russian's are smart not to risk shooting down small civilian aircraft by accident.
