Today we were hired to run another boat in the afternoon out of Boynton Beach. We set out around 1pm and we were greeted with calm seas and beautiful conditions as we headed offshore in search of some action. We found a nice current edge out in 600 ft of water that looked perfect for trolling up a dolphin or maybe even a wahoo. We trolled the edge for about an hour, locating numerous small pods of "peanut dolphin" meandering around. Unfortunately, these little guys wanted nothing to do with our baits, as they definitely were not in a feeding mode. We decided to head inshore where the water turned from blue to green, often a good indicator of feeding kingfish. Sure enough we found a nice pod of 10- 20 lb kings that were eager to eat our deep baits as we trolled through them. We managaed to land 3 nice kings before 4:30pm, saving an otherwise slow day of fishing. These kings have been holding for a couple days now, so book a trip now to get your shot at the action!
