Rep. John Fleming, M.D. (Louisiana - 4) discusses his resolution calling on Members of the House to put themselves on any new government run insurance plan they vote for.
The current system is not working! There is nothing wrong with a government takeover. The private sector has left us no choice and this is what happens when capitalism is left unchecked. The rich dictate policy.Wake up people! If you're middle class then you should thank God for liberals because they are the only ones on your side. The liberal goes into unchartered territory dicovering new courses of action. Only after it's well established do republicans come along and claim it as their own!
I know someone who advocates the system now used in France. I haven't read up on that yet but the proposals made to date in the USA amounts to socialized medicine. How the congress get the authority to pass laws like those proposed, I don't know. I don't see anything in our Consititution giving them the power to socialize health care. .
Hey, Rep. Fleming, the members who don't vote for the Public Option should then join an Individual Private Insurance plan (provided they don't get special treatment). How old is Rep. Fleming? 50 years old? Does he have pre-existing conditions? Good luck.
