Man are we spoiled in this day and age when we get < 40-second boot times. This felt like an eternity :D

Good old Fedora 7! For some reason, FC7 would fail to start some particular service of which name I cannot remember every time at boot, but it never seemed to actually bother the system. I upgraded to Fedora 8, error gone.

Its the Inspiron 9300.
Linux works very well on it, and most other Dell laptops in my experience.
