@Terceira73 Well eusebio was a great player when football was less competitive. About the WC2010, Portugal didn't deserve to win and the offside was just by some centimeters so you can't really say that Portugal was robbed.

In Euro 2012, ricardo carvalho and bosingwa won't play. Also, we don't have deco anymore. And our coach insists in using one of the worst portuguese strikers ever: Postiga

@franklouuu I am portuguese and ill tell u right now Eusebio is Portugal's all time best player and in WC2010 portugal was robbed by the ref's vs Spain.David Villa's goal was offside.The biggest blow to Portugal in wc2010 was Nani's absence.In 2012 if ww3 don't with an attack on Iran,then Portugal will have a great chance at winning the Euro.

@sajad14 It's not necessarily your "facts" that are wrong, but the way you choose them by oversimplificating things. First you only chose WCs and not EUROs. Second, you didn't count figo's injury in WC2002.

PS: I made a mistake in my previous comment. The best performance for Portugal was in Euro2000 and not Euro2004

@sajad14 And, figo's exhibitions for Portugal team were far better than CR's exhibitions. (This is an opinion). CR usually is too individualist when playing for Portugal and tries to score from impossible distances. He might be a great player for MU and RM but in Portugal team he, unfortunately, isn't. Well, he has improved since this embarrasing WC2010, where he was probably one of the worst players.

@sajad14 Okay... First, I saw all Portugal games since 2004. Second, You're hiding important facts. Those are: when Portugal became a great team was when Figo became a great player. It was in Euro 2004 which was the best Portugal performance in competitions in spite of not reaching the finals. And AFTER figo left the team, Portugal can't reach the semifinals. Also, in the WC in Japan where we didn't pass the group stage, figo's physical condition wasn't good at all

@franklouuu Okay now I just mentioned ONE fact and that was portugal never made it past the world cup group stages before ronaldo for a long long time which is TRUE! @sajad14 What? Are you serious? The best Portugal was when figo was playing. It was in Euro 2004 and CR wasn't still a known player!!! We were in the group of death with England, Germany and were eliminated in the semifinals by a very polemic case against probably the best national team of 21th century - France with players like Zidane & Thierry Henry. After figo went out, Portugal can't reach the semifinals!
