This is a quick demonstration of some of the technology we're working on for Robotology, Metanet's next game. In this video, we show you various 2D walking robots we're experimenting with. These are debug graphics -- proper graphics coming soon!

  • Aha, this is awesome. I can already tell this is going to be a great game. Keep up the good work M&R!

  • I did.

  • these are much simpler than in the first video...

  • My take on this video:

Some of the movements are for the protagonist, like the sneaking legs and the ending celebration.

Some are for robots that have many legs and movement strategies, and also possibly some are for incomplete broken robots like the little one with one arm that drags itself along the floor.

I'm really liking some of these walking techniques displayed here, especially the one with 3 really long legs, that thing looks great.

  • You've never done any programming, have you?

And before you answer, that's a question born of sarcasm.

Seriously. Stop talking about things you don't know about. It's silly.

  • Those aren't just "minor" alterations.

  • See previous comment.

  • The drones are different, there are even some new drones, and you can land right in front of a floor guard and still get away from it. The only things that really stayed the same was the ninja. It obviously wasn't ported.

    And yes, I did.

  • No, you didn't.

Now seriously, shut the fuck up.

And yeah, it was ported to the DS. Minor alterations don't mean it's a different game.

    This "conversation" is over.

  • Yes I did. You said it N was ported to the DS, and I corrected you saying that it wasn't and you were wrong.
