  • Is it free?

  • @RAZRStudios: If it's on my channel it's free. I don't use none free software.

  • 2:30 There is no need for this program to have a Midi keyboard. Remember the Unix philosophy? One tool for each task. There are plenty of virtual keyboard programs, for example VMPK (Virtual MIDI Piano Keyboard).

  • @SeltsamerAttraktor: Thank. Yes, you are right. I use Virtual Keyboards all the time now. I was unaware at the time of making this video, Which was 2 years ago. Man time flies!

  • Got it after hours of problem solving. I'm a newbie to Linux and finally figured out that I could not run while logged in as root. Love the progress that Linux and programs are making but these are the core issues why its still not ready for an everyday user. Thanks for the reply!

  • @nonymussdrummer: People who say Linux is not for everyday users, haven't spent much time with Linux. Linux is easier to use and is more reliable then OSes like Windows or MacOS. The problem comes from bad habits people picked up from using things like Windows. Why in the world would you be trying to run a program like this as ROOT? Why are you logged in as ROOT? I know in the Windows world it's ok to be doing things like this as ROOT, but it's a very very bad habit.

  • I guess your response may be indicitive of the Linux [programing] community. Respectfully, you are [obviously] a VERY intelligent person but average users within Linux are still lost. I would classify myself within a top 90% of Windows "users" (definitely NOT anywher near an IT guy or programer ) and am often left totally lost in many basic/fundametal operations. Don't take this as a critisism.. I WANT to be a Linux guy...thanks for your hard work and contribution!

  • @nonymussdrummer: What distro are you running. The AMsynth Package was broken for a while in Ubuntu, but is now fixed. If you are running an older copy of Mint or Ubuntu, you can either upgrade you OS or find a working package. I use to grab the older AMsynth package from the Debian site. But if you do this, be sure to disable updates for AMsynth or your package manager will try and upgrade you to the broken package again.

  • I get the Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libjack0.100.0-0 (>= 0.101.1)

    Not sure what to do about this.
