Water seller on an Indian street...

The simple life of a water seller. He stands outside Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi and dispenses dubious water to the public, for Rs. 1 per glass (around US$0.02). You have the option of adding lemon juice and sugar to the water and turning it into an instant lemonade, once again of dubious safety in terms of hygiene and cleanliness. But it is perhaps the immunity that the common Indian on the roads has that prevents them from getting typhoid or cholera from such water sources!

He even refrigerates the water so you can have your glass chilled, in the hot Indian summer sun!

His earnings are meagre for even after selling 100 glasses or more per day, he still earns only Rs. 100 AFTER paying the rent for his water cart and purchasing ice for refrigeration. And on top of that he has to push the cart around in the summer sun and find a suitable vantage point in the hot sun, where people can see him and come to him for their glass of water... It's a tough life!
