@FJK46 yes sir, that is correct. Just make sure your rom has it's extension(.smc .zip .rom etc) and the image has it's extension(.jpg .png etc)
-
So if the rom is titled mk2, the art has to also be titled mk2?

@troypayton71 Get layouts from arcadeartlibrary[dot]com/scree
nshotarchive/skins[dot]htm ,you can also get screenshots and boxart there. Use a free program called GIMP, it basically a free version of photoshop...you can get it at gimp[dot]org . Also I am going to upload some pre made layouts from an old mamewah site to my mediafire[dot]com/smaaaashtv account so feel free to download them from the mamewah folder(they'll be there by the time you read this) I'll also put links in the description box

Hello, I am at the stage where I create a folder for a emulator (nestopia). . when I run mamewah, it does not appear on that home screen like project 64 did in your video. When I go back into config, then click on the nestopia folder i had created, I get a game folder, nestopia config settings icon, and nestopia-0 config settings icon. neither of those two are .ini files and have 0kb taken up in each link. What is being done wrong?

@SCpride89 you need to open the file call nestopia.ini(if it doesn't have the ini at the end it's because your system is hiding extensions for known file types) just right click the file and select open with: then select notepad. Once there you need to physically type in the location of your rom files next to rom_path. If you're files are the nestopia roms folder you will need to type in something similar to this C:\Program Files\Nestopia\Roms depending on where it is and the naming convention.

Also you will need to set your rom_extension to the file type for your nes roms. Some people leave them in a zip format while other have them in an NES format. Just type the extension of the file next to this. Next to list_generation_method type rom_folder and next to emulator_commandline type in the path to the emulator exe file(include the filename) similar to this: C:\Program Files\Nestopia\Nestopia.exe then put a space and copy and past this "[rompath]\[name].[romext]"{nodosbox}{safelaunch}

I have also provided my ini files for download which you can view to help you better understand how to enter this information. Just click on the link in the description under Example INI files. I hope you can get it up and running and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Someone seriously thumbed down this video? First whoever you are....you were too stupid to figure this out on your own and now you were too stupid to figure it out with my help. You may just be too stupid to do anything right, sorry if I sound like an a-hole but this video was made to help people figure this out and it has helped several people from all the comments I have received. Just because you are too stupid to do something doesn't mean you should thumb down a video trying to teach you!

@bmesch2k I know it can open exe files but since I've never done it I'm not sure how. Go check out the forums over at Mameworld[dot]info there are a ton of topics under the mamewah sub-forum.
