The Gospel of Hip Hop: The First Instrument, the first book from the I Am Hip Hop imprint set for launch in Spring 2009, is the philosophical masterwork of KRS-One. Set in the format of the Christian Bible, this 600-plus-page opus is a life-guide manual for members of Hip Hop Kulture that combines classic philosophy with faith and practical knowledge for a fascinating, in-depth exploration of Hip Hop as a life path. Known as "The Teacha," KRS-One developed his unique outlook as a homeless teen in Brooklyn/South Bronx, New York, engaging his philosophy of self-creation to become one of the most respected emcees in Hip Hop history. Respected as Hip Hop's true steward, KRS-One painstakingly details the development of the culture and the ways in which we, as "Hiphoppas," can and should preserve its future.

  • krs one... give your heart to Jesus Christ...

  • Hip Hop Is Not To Be worshipped, But To Be Brought Under Subjection To The God Who Created All Things. Hip Hop Is To Summit Itself To The Lord Jesus Christ To Promote The Gosple of Jesus Christ. There Is No Gosple of hip hop. Hip Hop Must Summit itself To The Gosple of Jesus Christ So God Can Use Hip Hop As A Tool To Lead The Masses To Christ. Hip Hop Will Save No One. Only Jesus Christ Saves. Stop worshipping hip hop like it is god, Because God is a Jealous God!

  • By the way only you can save yourself!!

  • I'm reading a few of the comments here and a few are suggesting that KRS "give his heart to Jesus Christ "etc etc,Everybody is not Christian, everyone is not predisposed to Christianity,He and everyone on this Earth is free to practice what they want. All religions are made up authoratorian hiearchies. What counts is what's in your heart period.KRS' spirit is incredible. He lives breathes and shits Hip Hop,and that's ok

  • @TheWiseTruth90: Wise, just tell me, exactly what church am I from that contains these molesting priests? Since you seem to have such knowledge to make such a comment, tell me wise.

  • @WarfareSpiritForGod so because a select few rappers rhyme about what you consider is evil, that makes the whole genre diabolical? your church has a number of molesting priests. i guess everything that stands for it is evil as well.

    your logic is flawed.

  • Man I Love KRS-One He Is One Of My Favorite Mc But Is He Trying To Make Hip-Hop (A Music Genre) Into A New Religion !!!???

  • Where can I get this book?

  • How about that song "03 Bonnie & Clyde". He says, and I quote, in this song: "all I need in this life of sin, is me and my girlfriend". Some of yall on here didn't realize that until this post, yet many sing this same lyric, which they have committed to their heart. Jay-z is teaching damnable heresies. and as he teaches false doctrine, KRS ONE with this "gospel" is no different. This gospel of KRS is the gospel of Satan, demonic, wicked, perverted, dark and sick. Think on these things.

  • The bible says that serpent, being interpreted as Satan, was more subtle that any other creature of the garden (Gen 3:1). That principle we can see is being applied here in this song because the context of the track, as a whole, wouldn't lead you to think that the name of Jesus would even be mentioned anywhere on this track, but he did, and what an assault on Jesus and His word. Satan has ministers, not just Jesus. To name a few of Satan's ministers: Biggie, 2Pac, Lil Wayne, 50, and lots more.

  • Hip hop is indoctrinated with unclean spirits. this is evident in the lyrics of the various songs. Case and point: JESUS, the bible says, came to save sinners (1Tit 1:15), yet Jay-Z said in the middle of his song, "Empire State of Mind", said, and I quote: "AND JESUS CAN'T SAVE YOU, LIFE STARTS WHEN THE CHURCH ENDS". THAT LYRIC indicates a satanic influence when that track was written. the Bible says that Satan is the father of all lies (John 8:44), so where's there's a lie, there is Satan.

  • This is pure foolishesness!!! Our bodies can do nothing apart from God.
