Haha, ok, fair enough...didn't quite get the depth from your first post, sorry. But we don't have too much problem with leaf loss, mainly because the fields we hay aren't strictly planted...just a mix of a bunch of grasses. I mean sure, some of the volume gets knocked away every time you handle it, but with stuff like this there's a lot more where it came from :P

no i mean with the raking with the parallel bar rake can beat all the leaves off the plants as well as the tedder beating the hell out of the hay

Oh sweet! You know, I'm not actually sure if my boss has a name for it...it's just a small operation kind of across the street from the Boydens, but we hay all over town
