Okay, not meaning to disrespect, but you shouldn't use store/internet bought earplugs. My mom is one of the most renowned audiologists in the world (mentioned in nearly every textbook on Audiology, and she's written three books on it herself). If you need earplugs for whatever reason, go to an audiologist and get fitted for custom plugs. I just learned I have abnormal outer hair cell damage in both ears, so I'm being fitted soon.
