  • Read "Something Like Fire" edited by Lin Cook and containing accolades from such luminaries as Stephen Fry, Eric Idle, John Bird and you will realise that this man was greatly loved by all who met him. He was not a good actor at all, but simply took delight in making fun of life's strangeness. He had innate wit and good taste and especially enjoyed lampooning establishment figures. Long may his memory linger.

  • Peter Look looks awful in this. The ravages of alcohol abuse.

  • What an intro. What love and regard. He really was the comic of the great comics.

  • Only Peter Cook could pull off the Crimson Reebok/Sock combo!!!

  • @watayapupuya well thats what it is....

  • "well... balanced, politician"

    What a genius

  • @10kingstreet

Its not anywhere near an Aussie accent.

  • just seen Clive James again and he's looking much frailer than he did a few months ago. I wouldn't expect him to last more than a few months :(

wat a brilliant guy James is

  • lmao loved the visual of John Cleese and Peter Cook holding hands with a ball up Cook's jumper

  • Personally, I think he was so out of the league of the ordinary (us) that we shouldn't even allow ourselves to contemplate judging him, even for the better. C**ts.

  • Good joke about Tubular Bells! PC was a great character actor, just watch the Clive Anderson Talks Back series and gasp... Monty Python and countless other comedians all stand on Cookie's shoulders. RIP
