Come OUT, Reach OUT, and Speak OUT. Post a video response here and OUT yourself as an atheist on YouTube. Even if you're already OUT you can add a response. Responders will be in draws to win OUT Campaign gear from the Richard Dawkins store at: http://richarddawkins.net/store/
Draws will be held every few months and there is no end date yet... Proceeds at the store go to The Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science. Describe a little about yourself and your views on life as an atheist.

Video Reply Ideas:
Who are you? Hobbies? Interests? Career? Were you raised with religious views? When did you start changing your views? What religion were you part of if any? What caused you to change? If you were raised with no religious values, what values did your parents try to teach you? If you are a parent, what do you try to tell your kids about religion and life after death? Who has been a big influence in your life and your views? How does your family and friends feel about your views? Do you keep your atheism mostly to yourself? Do you live in a community that is accepting of atheists? Have you encountered discrimination or hatred as a result of being an atheist? Have you felt like sometimes you have to hide your views? How has being an atheist influenced your life? Just talk about yourself and about how atheism has influenced your life for the better and encourage other atheists to Come OUT....

Let's show the world how diverse atheists are and how we don't fit any stereotypes! More info at:

  • here in denmark is it more the norm to be an atheists when a beliver xD... shame on you USA

  • Isn't it odd a channel dedicated to Richard Dawkins allows rates and comment but a channel dedicated to William Lane Craig does not!!(sarcasm)

I occasionally come across one of Craig's videos but when It is on that censorship channel I don't watch it just close it I mean why bother when the channel owner is to close minded . Just goes to show you who is in general the most close minded group.

  • I am an atheist and I came out last two months. Some people criticized me and freaked out, including some members of my family. But when I explained them why I became an atheist, they really became kind again. That's why my advice to my fellow atheists is to come out and explain why did you became an atheist. :)

  • I came out last night! My family freaked out. I do have some good supporters though, my fiance most importantly.

  • I came out of the atheist closet last summer. It really wasn't that bad and I feel better being open and honest about not believing in religious myths.

  • True belief is a compulsion, not a choice. The only way to differentiate the truth from wishful thinking is to investigate the world around us. The ubiquitous nature of religion should hint at its evolutionary nature...

  • @Silentnight187 We don’t choose to believe. We believe based off the evidence at hand. Not believing in your religion is not an attempt to escape judgement. Your say your proof is the book... but that is not proof or evidence. That is something you find personally convincing based on your personal experiences. As a personal experience, it is biased and unreliable.. It could be true, but there is no evidence to prove it.

  • @thepeff

That really is tough, and I'm very sorry for your situation. You have to decide what is more important to you, in this respect: being honest about your opinion, or keeping those close to you in their own happy minds. And it can very well depend on how much longer you have to his from yourself. I would encourage coming out, but I can't pretend to understand all factors of your situation.

  • One thing about this "out" campaign is it assumes that the chief reason for being "closeted" is fear of discrimination. For all I know, that is the main reason but it isn't my reason (and I'm sure others are like me). My parents will always love me but the trouble is, if I said, "I'm an apostate," they would hear, "Your son is going to Hell." I feel that if I did come out, I would inflict a lot of emotional trauma to two people who have loved me unconditionally all my life.

  • well in latin america isn't any better either :S but i'm really thinking about outing myself  in a near future i'm very sure ;D i just need the perfect moment :haha:

  • I'm a creationist. Man created god!

  • isnt it better to care for the poor and ill then spend your time worshiping a invisible guy in the sky
