Origin is, in short, technical death metal wizardry. its fueled by music played so quickly and precisely you'd think a machine abused cocaine and then opted to show off to a bunch of fem-bots. but no, these are men. Entity is a tasty slab of tech-death, with some twists lobbied in to spice up the tech-death witches brew. a pair of 6+ minute epics, punk/grind style musings and an overall environment of pure discord makes this album a frenzied riff-fest, guaranteed to satisfy your blood cells and cure your post-Morbid Angel hangover.

  • You should review Omnivium by Obscura and Heavenly Ecstasy by Pagans Mind, when that comes out.

  • @Epicmayhem already did cover the Obscura record! check in my past videos, i believe it was about 2 months ago.

  • Its interesting when I agree with a review on an album I didn't like. First off, I am an Origin fan, one of the main reasons I fell in love with them is while they're incredible musicians, they still never got so technical that they lost their savageness. However, I feel with "Entity" they did. Sure, they were angry and brutal, but not savage. Maybe it was the loss of Freight Train, maybe it was the direction they were going in anyway. Either way, I was disappointed by "Entity".

  • This album got 5 stars on allmusic.

  • @BER2ERKER What does TBDM have to do with this in any way? I know we all have different musical tastes but saying "I hate them" with no reasoning is unacceptable to me.

  • @BER2ERKER Your dumb. Why do you "hate" TBDM? whats your reasoning?

  • @masterofsin

but in the making of its the guy from skinless

  • i felt this album had more chord parts instead of just insain notes

  • The black dahlia murder blows. I hate that shit and all that shit like it. I just found out today about this new origin album and I fuckin freaked out; I didn't hear anything about it prior to today. This is a fucking awesome day.

  • The new Gigan record needs to be reviewed. Its the main reason I haven't had the chance to delve deeper into Origin's new record.

  • @voodoochild1029 The truth is both metal and hardcore have been borrowing from each other since both genres have existed.

  • @GutsandGlory45 Nothing wrong with a little bit of core if done well. I'm a devoted metal head,. but I can appreciate hardcore and punk and the things they have brought to the genre I love, both good and bad.
