@wackyguns The gun was oiled....just like all my other guns, all stored in the same place. These to impacts are the first and only rifles ever to rust.

@OutdoorEnt thats what happens when you dont keep the barrel oiled just like all firearms clean it properly and lube the barrel well ive had mine since they released and your the only one ive heard who has had that problem

just incase people haven't noticed, CVA takes TC guns and "copy them" only to release them later at half the price/quality. They need to put some pride into their work.

@MrCountrycuz I wouldn't recommend the impact, me and a buddy of mine both purchaced one at around the same time, and the barrels on BOTH the guns started rusting after a month! Good luck getting the lifetime warrenty work on these firearms, TC seems to be real good at ignoring people who have issues with their product! I would recommend looking at Traditions muzzleloaders, they seem ok.

I am new to the sport and I looked at the wolf and the center at sporting goods store.
Are there still concerns about the CVA barrels being unsafe and bursting?
