This song and the way he sings it reminds me of "Everybody Knows" by Leonard Cohen. Everlast is a very talented lyricist, he really knows how to paint a picture of the story he's telling while being empathetic to the characters in his stories, even if the people make bad decisions, or "do things for all the wrong reasons".

His voice is atrocious. When I first heard his songs I thought he was some raspy voiced bum, that was given a record deal.. Kinda like the one in my bum music video.
