Why does everything need to be a competition? Why can't we accept that Forza is the best on the Xbox, and Gran Turismo is the best on PlayStation?

@akm169mm That's not necessarily true. For some developers, the need to out-do the competition is prevalent, but then look at companies that do projects for the passion of making something that they love and want to share. I would give examples, but I'm not being specific. There are tons of factors that we can't even take into account. What's important is that a good game is a good game, period. It's pointless for someone to bash games JUST because it's not what that person's playing.

@infinitextimes ,Because without competition of video game genres games would suck. Competition is what keeps developers on their toes. Polyphony Digital of gt5 pushes turn 10 of forza 3 and its also the other way around. Forza goes for the more casual aduience with easier modes and more ceativity ,while Gt goes for an audience that craves great sims and hardcore physics.I have played forza 3.Its a great game to play and I enjoyed it,.but I cant wait to play Gt5.

@normalguyhere Well, naturally, yes. What I'm getting at is how pointless the arguing is back and forth that one must be better than the other. So many people will bash a game simply because they own a different system when it doesn't really matter. Plenty of people have either a PS3 or a 360, and it's pointless to come down on one game just because it's not the one that they'll be playing.

Forza 3 is a great game but this guy is a complete fool. He spouts so much bullshit it is unreal. The best looking racing game? No. The most amount of cars in a racing game? No. The definative racing game of this generation? Thats subjective, but to be honest.....no. GT5 fucking obliterates this shit.
