Recorded at Twickenham Film Studios on 8th January 1969, this song would become a hit for George, who re-record it in 1970 for the album with the same name. In this version George sang lead vocals, Ringo played drums and John and Paul sang backing vocals and played guitar and bass guitar respectively.

  • How could they did not put this into the album? IMHO, this song is as good as Let It Be!

  • Great natural loose feel...!

  • Such a shame they never finished this great song of George's

  • Love Ringo's drumming on this.

  • It may be George's beautiful song, but the sound is The Beatles'. That's the difference.

  • Would have been a lot better than "She's So Heavy" as the last song on Side A of the Abby Road album.

  • @vieatoz This is just a theory. They may have picked Let It Be because it is a longer song. That way it would be easier, to fill up time on a album. Also it sounded as if they still needed to do work, on All Things Must Pass. That's just my opinion, is all.

  • John and Paul crowded out most of his songs, so he released them on his own record and ended up with all the big hits after they broke up, along with Ringo on his records! Lol!

Now fairly said, the song doesn't sound much like how it was later.

  • Their collective hearts were not in it at this point, They were pissed at eachother. Too bad George didn't write more songs like this when they were getting along.

  • This song should be in "Let it be"!!!

  • .. this just has a better feel a better groove better guitars better bas guitar-best = drums than '' the solo george ''all things must pass''... the slide guitar is not there yet but how about johns vocals hes nailing the songs melody as is paul

  • @sunriseRISE I must say, to me, you nailed it... I think it was John mostly... his I'm an artist and that's what is important... with him gone, George was lost and let Phil Spector fill that space... I wouldn't let that dude into my house.
