An American tourist couple drive through the Scottish Highland region of Badenoch and Strathspey, which was the filming location for the BBC series, "Monarch of the Glen." The village of Newtonmore and the surrounding area are featured.

  • Rich? Lad, did you ever even watch that fantastic show? The MacDonald's struggled the whole time to keep Glenbogle afloat and they were tae my mind true Scots not "Brits" (which is what the English want tae call us) and did a pretty good job of showing the cultural differences by banging around the few English characters that came and went. Bout time we got to see the BBC pay attention to the Scots and not just the Saxons to the south. BRING BACK MONARCH!!!

  • Thank you so much for this video brought me back good memories ,I was fortunate enough to live there for three months in 1992 (I stayed in Balavil House) and it's an amazinly beautiful region (as all of the Highlands of Scotland),thank you for sharing.

    You dont have to have the same accent as your nationality you know! Eg. Alastair mackenzie played archie- has no scottish accent but is 100% scottish!!!

  • yeh its just seems so nice, ive been there once and i loved every minute of it!! Even though i live in devon, you would think that is lovely fresh and green but its not same somehow....and the accent does it for me lol :P
